At Surface, we prefer to hire our co-ops as part-time engineers who are interested in building a career, not just looking to fulfill a semester requirement. Your employment at Surface can be maintained during academic semesters…many of our full-time engineering staff began as college co-ops!

As an independent, family-owned company, there is no “one size fits all” co-op curriculum. You will be exposed to all heat treat engineering disciplines and will be encouraged to tackle projects that challenge your strengths and enhance your skills. Co-ops have opportunities to collaborate with sales, marketing, product groups, and more to gain a 360° view of the industry.
