Surface Combustion, Inc. has expanded the “Standard of the Industry" Allcase® batch integral quench (BIQ) furnace line by adding three new sizes, incorporating the vertical tube configuration.

The original 36” x 72” x 36” vertical tube Allcase® was released in 2006 featuring six vertically mounted “U” tubes and 1,800,000 BTU input. Surface now offers three smaller versions to address our customers’ needs.

The new offerings include the 36” x 48” x 36” Allcase® with traditional 4,000 pound load capacity. It features 1,200,000 BTU’s (approximately 30% more than the horizontal tube system) and uses four spark ignited radiant tube burners with bayonet style recuperators.

Surface Combustion, Inc. exhibited at the Thermtech China Show 2011 and presented at 3rd China Heat Treat Forum in Beijing, China. We would like to thank all the attendees and colleagues that visited with us and a special thank you to everyone that welcomed us to visit their factories.

Surface presented on the growing capacity requirements of Allcase® batch integral quench carburizing furnaces. The reason for choosing batch is for increased flexibility and the option of gas fired heating. Surface Combustion offers gas fired heating for batch furnaces using Trident® tubes, single ended recuperated tubes, or U-tubes. Surface also discussed the differences between gas fired and Prolectric® heated pit furnaces, and our exclusive offering of gas fired vacuum furnaces.

China has an expanding supply of natural gas. As an OEM and pioneer in large gas fired BIQ heat treat furnaces and auxiliary equipment, like RX® endothermic gas generators, Surface can offer proven designs to Chinese heat treaters.

Look for us on ABC Channel 13 News which features Surface Combustion at the Beijing International Convention Center. View Video
