March 8,2010The Federal Renewal Electricity Production Tax Credit (PTC) (renewed and expanded most recently in February 2009) is a per-kilowatt-hour tax credit for electricity generated by qualified energy resources. The tax credit amount is 2.1 ¢/kWh (indexed for inflation) for wind resource type generated electricity, with the duration for the credit of 10 years after the date the facility is placed in service.

Surface Combustion, Inc. has received an order for a MultiChamber Vacuum Carburizing System utilizing Surface's VringCARB® technology (U.S. patent # 6,991,687) from Specialty Heat Treating, Inc. located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Specialty is a commercial heat treating service provider specializing in vacuum processes, especially those requiring special handling and precision processing. Specialty Heat Treating also has facilities located in Holland, Michigan and Elkhart, Indiana.

Surface Combustion, Inc. has received an order for a MultiChamber Vacuum Carburizing System utilizing Surface's VringCARB® technology and companion equipment from MMS Thermal Processing, LLC. MMS Thermal, a commercial heat treater that will specialize in vacuum processes, is located in Davenport, Iowa.
March 4, 2005 Surface Combustion has recently received a second contract to manufacture and deliver a metal parts furnace (MPF) system, as part of a second munitions destruction facility at the Shchuch'ye Chemical Weapons Desturction Facility (CWDF) in Western Siberia, Russia. Acting on their government's behalf, the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense, Counter Proliferation And Arms Control Secretariat (CPAC) is the client. The United Kingdom and the Government of the Netherlands will provide funding for this project.
