Furnace Analysis and Evaluation
Field engineers conduct a comprehensive examination of your furnace system equipment. After careful analysis and evaluation, we prepare a report on the operating condition of your equipment. If you need any furnace repair or maintenance, our report will be accompanied by a proposal of recommendations to address specific items and furnace parts. Surface can also evaluate opportunities to upgrade components or to improve production rates or process quality.
Furnace Rebuilds and Repairs
Furnace rebuilding, heat treat furnace repair, machine repair overhaul (MRO), and furnace overhaul is an extremely cost effective way to renew the productive and profitable service life of your system. Surface will rebuild your equipment in your plant or in our shop. We can reinsulate furnace walls, install new alloy components, manufacture and install new vacuum furnace inner chambers, change out RX® endothermic generator catalyst or replace other worn or outdated components. When minor on-site repairs are required, we can dispatch Surface team members to help.
Upgrades and Design Modifications
Surface offers a broad range of standard upgrade packages beyond furnace maintenance and repair to improve product quality, productivity and fuel efficiency, including: recuperative combustion systems, water to air cooling conversions for fans, rolls and heat exchangers, hi-lo flow atmosphere packages and soft seal door retrofits. In addition, Surface can provide insulation upgrades, burner retrofits, combustion safety updates to current codes, and gas/electric heating conversions. Surface can also engineer furnace system capacity increases, process conversions and automated handling solutions.
